Steps for Backup WhatsApp Chat Messages:
Step 1 – Open your WhatsApp application
Step 2 – Once open, you need to open the settings page. This can be done by clicking on the 3 dots which are on the top right corner of the WhatsApp screen.
Step 3 – On the next screen, you will see various settings options. Click on the Chat Settings tab.
Step 4 – This will open up the Chats settings page. Here, you need to click on the Chat Backup option.
Step 5 – Now, click on the Back Up button to back up your data.
If it’s your first time, you will be prompted to select the account you want your data to be saved to. Once that is done, the data will be backed up to your Google Drive. You can also set up your WhatsApp to automatically back up your data on a periodic basis, be it daily, weekly or monthly. You can also set it up to back up only when you do so manually.
